Reflecting on his tumultuous tenure, the governor cited the words of the Psalmist, stating that he had walked through the valley of the shadow of death but remained fearless, relying on God’s protection and comfort.
Ortom expressed gratitude to the Almighty for preserving his life throughout these challenging times.
Governor Ortom went on to share that the Fulani assailants themselves had approached him, taking a seat in the very place where the interview was being conducted, to reveal their failed attempts on his life.
They acknowledged his resilience and disclosed their knowledge of his undisclosed means of survival.
In conclusion, Governor Ortom expressed profound gratitude to God for safeguarding him from these dangers and ensuring his well-being.
