The video, which has garnered over 2.4 million views, explains that if your partner’s profile appears on the popular dating app Tinder long after you’ve entered into a relationship, it is considered a “major red flag.”

According to Trinniiitty’s video, if your friends have recently spotted your partner’s profile on Tinder, they have some explaining to do.

She claims that Tinder profiles rarely appear on the app if they have been inactive for an extended period of time.

Trinniiitty states, “Just a PSA, if they’re like ‘oh yeah, that’s an old Tinder account they saw, I deleted the app a long time ago.

Tinder only shows profiles that have been active within seven days…”

The video has received numerous responses, with one user sharing their experience of their ex being caught in the act.

Another user expressed feeling deceived by their partner’s lies.

While Tinder’s own policy prioritizes showing the most active accounts, it does not explicitly confirm that profiles inactive for more than a week are excluded.

In response to the video, some users expressed doubts about its accuracy, suggesting that if you swipe through all the active profiles in your area, you may eventually come across inactive ones.

Trinity responded to these doubts, explaining that inactive accounts can still be seen if you swipe through all the inactive accounts in the area.

However, some users shared instances where they had seen profiles of individuals who hadn’t been active on Tinder for an extended period, raising questions about the reliability of the trick.

Trinity clarified that while it is likely that recently active accounts are shown, it is not 100% certain.

In some cases, profiles may appear because there are no other active accounts to display.

The TikTok video sparked discussions among users, highlighting the uncertainties surrounding Tinder’s algorithm and the visibility of inactive profiles.
