Students Leadership Summit Ends In Awka

Youths have been challenged to embrace creative ideas and build self with strong foundations that will help them reach their potential in life.

 

A resource person at  Students Leadership Summit, organized by Futureholds True Value-Impact Foundation held in Awka, Professor Jane Ifecholobi made the statement while interacting with some selected senior school students on the ‘Content of the school prefect’.

Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye  reports that  the program which drew some selected senior secondary students in Awka and environs aimed at directing their steps to a positive life and right attitude  in actualizing their potential as senior prefects of their schools.

 

Professor Jane Ifecholobi who is a professor of English at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, noted that as a school prefect, they are on a delegation to the world which requires that they will give account of stewardship directly or indirectly, advising them to align themselves with God to be resourceful, obedient and focused.

She exposed them to acts that will mar their future and encouraged them to be transformational agents, counsel others and influence others positively as well as discharge their duties in a manner that heaven will acknowledge that they are representing God in their various positions.

 

The organiser of the program, Mrs Ncheta Nwachinemere said they run campaigns in schools against cultism, drug abuse, rape, nudity, bullying, examination malpractice as well-as run capacity development programme including mind restructuring, rehabilitation and discovery.

Other two speakers, Mr Pascal Chukwudi and Engineer Ugochukwu, encouraged the students to maximize their opportunities and leverage on the experience of their teachers, mentors and  priests to  build their lives around laws and values.

 

While exposing the students on the height of immorality ravaging the society, a clergy man, Reverend Azubike Mgbike said that the world is polluted as the enemy is targeting the youths to destroy, urging the students to hold unto God and pray fervently while they comport  themselves very well and have self-control.

Some of the school prefects who spoke to ABS including Maryanne Eneh, Abel Okoro and Augustine Chinwuba, commended the organizers of the program stating that they will utilize the knowledge garnered for the upliftment of the students under them and their school in general.
