The 2024 Young Champions of the Earth initiative will select outstanding individuals from various global regions, including Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, West Asia, and two from Asia and the Pacific.
The initiative seeks young changemakers with innovative solutions showcasing nature’s potential in addressing pressing environmental challenges.
Eligibility Criteria and Recognition: Open Call for Young Environmental Innovators
Applicants, aged between 18 and 30 as of December 31, 2024, are invited to apply. Each applicant should demonstrate at least six months of prior experience working on significant environmental initiatives.
The benefits for the winners include mentorship, capacity-building workshops, access to a UN community of experts, introduction to dignitaries at the award ceremony, global publicity and recognition through interviews and media, along with US$20,000 in seed funding.
