The tranquil town of Constantia in Oswego County, New York, was rocked by a brazen robbery at a Circle K store. Late on Sunday, Feb. 4, an unidentified suspect, masked and apparently armed, stormed into the convenience store. The assailant threatened the cashier, demanding the keys to the cashier’s car and cash from the register.
Imitation Gun and Fear
Brandishing what appeared to be a firearm, the thief successfully intimidated the petrified cashier, making off with an undisclosed amount of money and the keys to the cashier’s vehicle. However, the authorities later recovered the ‘weapon,’ which turned out to be a harmless imitation gun. This discovery underscores the suspect’s calculated attempt to instill fear and gain control over the situation.
A Stolen Car and a Trail left Cold
The suspect made his getaway in the cashier’s car, which was later found abandoned. The finding of the vehicle, although crucial, does not appear to have brought the law enforcement significantly closer to capturing the culprit. The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office is diligently working the case, with the investigation still ongoing.
Citizen’s Assistance Requested
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has issued an appeal to the public, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. They can be reached at 315-349-3411. It remains a pressing matter to identify and apprehend the suspect, to ensure the safety of the community and deter such audacious crime in the future.
