Teni’s Diagnosis and Voice Loss
Nigerian singer Teni, known professionally as Teniola Apata, has revealed that she was diagnosed with a life-threatening throat infection.
The infection occurred during the production of her second album, “Tears of the Sun,” just months after she had opened up to her fans about her weight-loss journey.
Medical Recommendations and Hospitalization
Due to recurring episodes of temporary voice loss, Teni’s medical team advised her to undergo a major operation to prevent the possibility of permanent voice loss.
However, Teni was hospitalized in September after suffering from repeated bouts of exhaustion.
Instead of surgery, she opted for alternative treatment.
New Album and Message of Gratitude
In a video clip, Teni shared her journey, including her time in the hospital.
Towards the end of the clip, she assured her fans that her new album, “Tears Of The Sun,” is heartfelt and would be released on the 17th of the month.
She also revealed that one of her singles, “Malaika,” is her song of gratitude to God.
She captioned the post:
“TESTIMONY TIME ????. WHEN YOU FINALLY GET TO HEAR THIS ALBUM, I WANT YOU TO LISTEN FROM YOUR HEART, EMBRACE IT WITH YOUR SOUL AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW, THAT I GAVE IT MY ALL, AND SPOKE MY TRUTH, STRAIGHT FROM MY HEART, AGAINST ALL ODDS. TEARS OF THE SUN ???? “
Teni’s courage and determination in the face of adversity are an inspiration to many, and her new album is sure to resonate with fans worldwide.
