Dancing on Ice 2024: Four new pro skaters join the cast
Dancing on Ice will welcome four new professional skaters when the show returns next year, ITV has announced.
The new pros are Amani Fancy, Vanessa James, Annette Dytrt and Simon Senecal.
Fancy is a two-time British national champion and has previously appeared on the German version of the programme.
James is a six-time French national champion who represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympic games.
Dytrt is a former German and Czech national champion, who has also appeared on the German carnation of the show. Senecal is a former Armenian national champion and Winter Olympian.
Two pros make a comeback
After a one-year break, Andy Buchanan and Robin Johnstone will be back on the ice having both made their debuts on the show in 2013.
Matt Evers departs after 15 years
Fans will be disappointed to learn, however, that Matt Evers’ time on the show has come to an end. The 47-year old is hanging up his skates after 15 years, with fellow pro regulars Alexandra Schauman and Łukasz Różycki taking a break from the forthcoming series.
Other returning pros
Other returning pros include Vanessa Bauer, Colin Grafton, Mark Hanretty, Brendyn Hatfield, Sylvain Longchambon and Tippy Packard.
Presenters and coaches
As it stands, the 2024 edition of the show is due to be presented by Stephen Mulhern and Holly Willoughby. The latter’s involvement remains in doubt, however, following her decision to quit This Morning.
Elsewhere Karen Barber and Daniel Whiston also return as Head Coach and Creative Director respectively.
Conclusion
Dancing on Ice 2024 is set to be a shake-up of the show, with four new pro skaters joining the cast and Matt Evers departing after 15 years.
It remains to be seen whether Holly Willoughby will return as presenter, but fans can be sure of an exciting series with plenty of new faces to watch.
