Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is not allowed to use Eminem’s song.

Eminem took exception to a US presidential candidate using one of his songs while running as the Republican candidate for the White House.

After using the Oscar-winning song Lose Yourself from the 2002 film 8 Mile on his campaign trail, the cease-and-desist letter was delivered to Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign team.

Democrat US President Joe Biden had previously utilized the number-one song in a 2020 campaign ad for which Eminem had obtained permission.
According to what is known, music licenser BMI wrote a letter to the Vivek 2024 campaign on August 23 on behalf of Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers.

The rapper is “objecting to the use of Eminem’s musical compositions by the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign,” according to the statement.

Furthermore, it stated that “BMI will consider any performance of the Eminem works by the Vivek 2024 campaign from this date forward to be a material breach of the Agreement for which BMI reserves all rights and remedies with respect thereto.”

On May 24, the Vivek 2024 campaign and BMI reached a contract.
Rap music and Eminem have long been favorites of biotech entrepreneur Mr. Ramaswamy, who once went by the stage name Da Vek.
He wants to defeat Donald Trump, the former US president who is currently dealing with a number of legal troubles, and win the republican nomination.

Will The REAL Slim Shady Please Stand Up?, Mr. Ramaswamy tweeted. He didn’t merely say what I assumed, did he?
This seemed to be a reference to The Real Slim Shady, an Eminem song from 2000.
Due to the use of tunes, musical groups had objected and sued the Trump campaign in 2020 and its supporters.

He has received criticism for using their songs from Adele, Linkin Park, the Rolling Stones, Queen, Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Prince’s estate, and Aerosmith, among others.
