New record by Sir Cliff Richard will commemorate his 65 years in the music business.

Sir Cliff Richard has revealed plans to launch an orchestral album commemorating his remarkable 65-year tenure in the music industry. The album, titled “Cliff With Strings – My Kinda Life,” features collaborations with fellow music icon Olivia Newton-John.

The album encompasses a comprehensive selection of hits spanning seven decades, including beloved tracks like “Living Doll,” “Summer Holiday,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” and the poignant “Suddenly,” featuring the late Olivia Newton-John.

In discussing the album, Sir Cliff, who is 82 years old, shared his emotions about revisiting his original vocals from different stages of his career. He acknowledged the evolution of his musical style over the years and how the orchestral arrangements have invigorated these cherished tracks.

The song “Suddenly,” performed with Olivia Newton-John, holds particular significance for Sir Cliff. He recalled their joint performance of this song during his 75th birthday celebration in 2015. Sir Cliff expressed admiration for the harmonious blend of their voices and the elegance that defined Olivia Newton-John’s singing.

Olivia Newton-John, renowned for her music career and iconic role as Sandy in the 1978 film “Grease,” passed away last year at the age of 73. Sir Cliff’s album is a tribute to their collaboration and friendship.

“Cliff With Strings – My Kinda Life” showcases a collection of Sir Cliff’s biggest hits and personal favorites. Composer Chris Walden has contributed orchestral arrangements to the album. The compilation includes a recording from Richard’s performance of “Everything I Do (I Do It For You)” at his Countdown Concert celebrating the turn of the millennium in 1999.

The album is set to be released digitally and on CD by East West Records on November 3, with the vinyl version following on November 24. This album marks a milestone in Sir Cliff’s illustrious career, celebrating his enduring impact on the music industry over the past 65 years.
